Dr Hannah Sheridan

Hannah completed her PhD in Physics at the University of Exeter in 2023, utilising various types of spectroscopy, with a focus on the development of fibre optic Raman probes for the diagnosis of different cancer types. She joined the University of Auckland in 2023 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow investigating the use of NIR spectroscopy for the analysis of tissue oxygenation. In 2024 she began a concurrent role at Luminoma Diagnostics Ltd as a Research Scientist, focusing on utilising Raman spectroscopy for the diagnosis of melanoma and various skin conditions in the clinic. Her research interests focus on the use of photonics to tackle clinical problems, and she is particularly passionate about cancer diagnosis.
