Claude 500x500

Dr Claude Aguergaray obtained his PhD at the University of Bordeaux in 2007 on laser and nonlinear optics. He did his post-doc at the University of Auckland from 2008 to 2013. His research focused on new fibre laser technologies and nonlinear propagation dynamics in optical fibres. Claude then accepted a position as a Research Engineer at the ALPhANOV Research Centre in France in 2013, overseeing the fibre-laser development team. He then returned to the University of Auckland in 2017. His current research focuses on developing biosensors for cancer detection (prostate, and brain) and new fibre lasers sources.
